By dedicating themselves to beauty and perfection, art craftsmen guarantee tradition and creation. Their ancestral skills have been fashioned by history but are today under threat. This is why Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild have decided to commit themselves fully to ensuring these skills are preserved and handed down for future generations.
Through the Edmond et Benjamin de Rothschild Fundations, they support the Ecole Boulle which promotes excellence and diversity in arts & crafts. They are also partners of the Grands Ateliers association and organised a major exhibition in the Château de Prégny, their home in Switzerland. From day to day, they enjoy fruitful exchanges with skilled artisans like cabinet-makers, upholsterers, gunsmiths and varnish specialists whose expertise helps maintain the family collections in optimal condition. A long-standing relationship has been established with Philippe Druillet who designed and made the furniture used in the Rothschild banks.
