Alexis de la Palme has been appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Société Française des Hôtels de Montagne

Société Française des Hôtels de Montagne (SFHM) houses all Baron Benjamin de Rothschild’s non-financial businesses, including the Domaine du Mont d’Arbois in Megève (Hôtels & Restaurants), the wine-making activities in the Bordeaux region and abroad (South Africa, New Zealand and Argentina) as well as his farming estates.

"We are delighted to welcome Alexis de La Palme on board. Alexis has more than 25 years of experience in the hotel industry, especially in the hotel development field, this expertise will obviously represent a strong asset for SFHM and its teams,” said Benjamin de Rothschild.

Their achievements are numerous and Bertrand has enabled SFHM to grow over the years, capitalising in particular on the effective international development of our wine partnerships with Flechas de Los Andes, Rupert & Rothschild, not forgetting Rimapere.”

Alexis de La Palme, 49, holds an MBA from HEC (Paris) and an MBA in hotel management from the International Center of Glion in Montreux, Switzerland. Alexis de La Palme was made Chevalier of the Legion of Honour.

Since January 2014, he was Senior Vice-President of Hotel Development Europe for ACCOR Group and reported to the group’s executive committee. He supervised organic growth projects for all the Group’s brands.

Alexis de La Palme joined Accor in 2001. He held various positions, notably Director of operation for the Middle East and Africa regions before being appointed Vice-President of Hotel Development Europe for Sofitel, Accor's luxury hotel brand. Previously, he had been in charge of worldwide Sales for Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts Group.
