Jérôme Koechlin appointed Head of Communications and Marketing at Edmond de Rothschild (Suisse) for the International Private Banking

Jérôme Koechlin joined Edmond de Rothschild (Suisse) on March 1st 2016 as Head of Communications and Marketing. Based in Geneva, he will be in charge of Communica tions and Marketing at Edmond de Rothschild (Suisse) for the International Private Banking (IPB).

 He will report to Charlotte Garnier-Peugeot, Head of Communications and Marketing for the Edmond de Rothschild Group and Emmanuel Fievet, CEO of Edmond de Rothschild (Suisse) SA.


Sarah Arnett will be part of Jérôme Koechlin’s team and remain Head of Communications and Marketing for Switzerland.

Jérôme Koechlin, 52, has more than 20 years’ experience in corporate communications, public affairs and media relations. He is specialised in implementing and developing overall communications strategies, providing support to companies and executives in their public positioning and in relations with the public sector and media audiences.


Jérôme was Head of Communications, Company Secretary and a member of the executive management of the Union Bancaire Privée in Geneva (2008-2015), as well as Head of Corporate Communications and a member of Group management at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie (2003-2007).


From 2000 to 2003, he was Head of Corporate Communications at Serono, a biotech multinational. He had previously been Head of protocol for the State of Geneva (1995–2000), and also worked as a journalist and war correspondent for the Journal de Genève (1990–1995).


Jérôme has a doctorate in economic and social sciences (University of Geneva), and communications and international affairs degrees from New York University (Masters) and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (HEID) in Geneva. Since 2004, he has lectured in economic and financial communications at the University of Geneva's Médi@LAB.


He has published several books, including La communication professionnelle: les clés pour réussir (2015, PPUR), La politique étrangère de l’Europe: entre conscience et puissance (2009, Infolio) and Le discours sur la biotechnologie: entre science et idéologie (a collective work, 2004, IUEG), as well as articles on communications and international business. Since 2015, he has been writing a blog on communications and leadership for the economic magazine Bilan. He is a member of the European Association of Communication Directors (EACD) and the Swiss Press Club (CPS).
