Edmond de Rothschild strengthens management team in Luxembourg

Edmond de Rothschild (Europe) in Luxembourg has announced the appointment of Bernard Coucke as CEO, with immediate effect. He takes over from Marc Grabowski, who is leaving the bank to pursue other opportunities.

Bernard Coucke joined Edmond de Rothschild in July 2016 as CAO of International Private Banking and Edmond de Rothschild (Europe). Previously, he was Global Head, ING Private Banking in Amsterdam, having held various management positions with ING in Europe and Asia since 2000. Prior to that Bernard Coucke managed private banking projects and teams at Banque Indosuez and Banque J. Van Breda.

In addition, it has been announced that, subject to regulatory approval, Bruno Carboni has been appointed as Head of Private Banking and Deputy CEO Edmond de Rothschild (Europe), with effect from 1 November 2016. He has over 20 years’ experience in private banking, most recently as CEO, Union Bancaire Privée (Euroe) S.A. Luxembourg, a post he has held since 2013.
