The guarantee and resolution fund
The Deposit Guarantee and Resolution Fund (FGDR), established by the law of June 25, 1999, is responsible for protecting and compensating clients in the event of a failure of their banking institution. The Deposit Guarantee scheme covers deposit accounts and savings accounts up to €100,000 (excluding State-backed savings accounts). The Investor compensation scheme covers all financial instruments up to €70,000.
