Forty years after first establishing a presence in the Principality of Monaco, Edmond de Rothschild moves into its new address in La Condamine. This new 5,300-square-metre building will bring all 270 employees of the Monegasque private bank under one roof to encourage more collaboration between teams and enrich the client experience.

Edmond de Rothschild also gives tangible expression to the uniqueness of its model. Multiple areas of expertise from across its ecosystem are gathered under one roof: private banking, Edmond de Rothschild wines, showcased within a Wine Club, as well as the Caron fragrance house which is opening its first boutique in the Principality.

Forty-year presence in Monaco

Present in Monaco since 1986, Edmond de Rothschild is taking a new step in its development in the Principality with the inauguration of its new address, facing Place d’Armes square and La Condamine market. Built by SCI Esperanza with interiors by J.B. Pastor & Fils, the building has eleven levels, including seven upper floors.
Designed as an open and light-filled townhouse, this new address unites all of Edmond de Rothschild Monaco’s private banking expertise: relationship banking, discretionary management, advisory, real estate financing, wealth planning, and life insurance brokerage.

A building designed for private banking activities

The workspaces, spread across the 1st through 5th floors, have been designed to encourage knowledge sharing and close collaboration among teams. Natural light, meeting rooms, convivial spaces on every level, and open circulation areas support a workplace environment conceived to combine precision, agility, and collective intelligence.

The ground floor, 6th, and 7th floors are dedicated to client reception. They feature eighteen reception rooms, some of which are modular, as well as two large, tree-lined terraces offering a 360-degree view of the Principality.

In this setting, the client experience reflects the standards of a luxury house: discreet and elegant spaces, carefully selected materials, meticulous attention to acoustics and lighting, and a seamless, comfortable journey at every stage of the client’s meeting. A valet service and an English signature cab decorated in the Maison’s colours, available to clients, complete this experience with the utmost attention to detail.

Sustainable architecture rooted in the city’s fabric

The building has been granted BD2M Bronze certification, Monaco’s Sustainable Mediterranean Buildings certification. Created by the Prince’s Government, this label assesses buildings based on a range of environmental criteria, including insulation, material selection and occupant well-being. The building also benefits from a thalassothermal loop installed by the Principality, helping to optimize its energy consumption.

The architecture is designed in the Mediterranean style of La Condamine: bricks and glazed tiles, cabochons on the facade, and wrought-iron balconies. As a result, the building fits seamlessly into the urban fabric of a rapidly evolving neighbourhood

A family ecosystem brought together under one roof

Inside, references to the House’s heritage appear in refined touches: the red, blue, and yellow of the family’s coat of arms, the compass, the five arrows, as well as nods to Château Clarke, Gitana, the Ferme des 30 Arpents, Megève, and Edmond de Rothschild wines.

Located on the 6th floor, the 25-square-metre Wine Club pays tribute to Edmond de Rothschild wines originating from France, Spain, New Zealand, Argentina, and South Africa. Designed as an intimate space, it extends the client relationship through a tasting experience that reflects the House’s regions, expertise, and art de vivre.

Caron’s first boutique in Monaco can be found on the ground floor, an 83-square-meter space designed by Casper Mueller Kneer Architects under the artistic direction of Olivia de Rothschild. Exposed concrete, brushed metal and understated tones come together in a sensory experience. At the centre of the boutique, a monumental reinterpretation of Caron’s perfume fountains pays homage to one of the House’s historic traditions.

Ariane de Rothschild, CEO Edmond de Rothschild Group, comments: “For more than a century and a half, the spirit of Edmond de Rothschild has inspired us. We have remained true to his principles, while knowing the importance of reinvention. It is this enduring commitment that allows us to remain in tune with our times. This new address expresses who we are at our core: a family-owned, independent firm, attentive to places, traditions, and human relationships.”

Gérard Ohresser, CEO Edmond de Rothschild Monaco, states: “This new location enables us to bring our 270 employees together under one roof, strengthen connections across our business lines and expertise, and welcome our clients in the spirit of hospitality that defines our firm. Designed specifically around our needs and ambitions, the building reflects our way of working: proximity to clients, high-quality interactions, attention to detail, and a strong ability to connect and integrate the diverse expertise within our ecosystem.”
